All other grinders in its size class will be outperformed by the Beast® Model 2460XP. A 60" wide by 30" diameter cuttermill and a 24" high by 60" wide mill opening are features of the 2460XP. The saw-tooth type cutterbodies made by Bandit, which control the size of the tooth's bite, are used in this machine's 30-tooth cuttermill. Since the majority of the material is sized in the first cut, it leaves the huge screening area more quickly.
A Caterpillar C13B, 536 horsepower engine is standard and provides ample torque to grind an array of material. A wide variety of tooth and screen options are available to adequately process and size material. Two screens are equipped behind the mill and can easily be changed by being removed from the side of the machine.
The standard height adjustable discharge gives ample room for discharging material and features a magnetic head pulley at the end for separating nails from the mulch pile.
A double slat track style infeed conveyor measuring 60" in length and 14' 8" in length offers sufficient space to feed a broad range of materials. An additional aid in bringing material into the mill is a feed wheel with a 20" diameter. A wireless radio remote control with tether backup is used to operate all grinding functions.
